"Do you take my insurance?"
HouseCall Head and Neck is out of network with insurance providers, and we charge on a fee-per-visit basis. What this means for you as a patient is three key things:
-Each treatment is with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and craniofacial specialist
-You will receive the therapist's full attention for the entire treatment and receive the highest quality of care
-You have the freedom to determine with your therapist how many visits are necessary for your best results
Perhaps you have had physical therapy before. You may have been surprised when the clinic informed you that your insurance company only allowed you 6-8 visits with them in order to return back to your prior level of function. This is attainable in some cases, but not always. Being out of network with insurance gives the patient and therapist freedom to determine how many visits are necessary in order to restore function.
Another drawback to attending therapy at a conventional physical therapy clinic is the lack of individualized care. Clinics are oftentimes overbooked and rely heavily on unskilled staff to provide treatment, leaving patients feeling unsatisfied with the quality of care they received during their treatment. This is particularly problematic for the patient with symptoms that are worsened by busy, loud environments. Unfortunately, this is becoming more of the norm as healthcare costs are rising while reimbursement rates are falling - clinics now have to book multiple patients an hour to make a profit. At HCHN, we believe that patients shouldn't have to settle for care dictated by their insurance premiums. The right practitioner, optimal environment, and tailored approach make all the difference for patients with head, neck, and facial pain.
Oftentimes, insurance companies will reimburse patients for out-of-network physical therapy services rendered if the proper documentation is submitted. We recognize that our patients are also consumers and place the utmost importance on value of treatment, but wish to utilize available resources when possible. We will gladly provide you with itemized reports of your treatments upon request. All you will need to do is print off the claims forms from your insurance provider's website, and submit those forms with the ones from HCHN. We also encourage you to call your insurance provider before receiving treatment and ask about reimbursement for out-of-network physical therapy expenses, as every insurance plan is different and may affect how much you are reimbursed.
Concierge Model
HouseCall Head and Neck comes to you, wherever you are the most comfortable having treatment. Whether that is in your home or your office, we travel to you to maximize your time and minimize the stress associated with trying to make appointments before or after work and school.
The advantage of concierge care lies in the value of your treatment. You will receive hands-on manual techniques for the majority of your treatment, with a small amount of time dedicated to self-care strategies and exercise instruction as necessary. Dr. Ayres will reassess your progress each treatment, and make adjustments to your individualized plan of care accordingly. Adherence to the home exercise program between sessions is key to achieving your long-term goals.
No techs, no modalities, no doing exercises you can perform on your own or at a gym. This treatment philosophy will make the most of the time you have with our physical therapist while helping shorten your recovery time.
